She is small and dark. Dainty. Lovely. Unassuming. As the adder lithe and slippery with beauty,
she too, is seductively dangerous. Poisonous. Polished and vindictive.

Welcome HomeThe Welcome mat on the front doorstep is as ironic to me as anything I’ve ever seen. I step up onto the porch, stamp my feet on the straw-cursive word in all its teasing glory and knock on the door.

He answers the door in little else but a pair of boxers and the cross of Jesus strung around his neck – yet another irony to this day of cruel tricks – and cocks an eyebrow at me as I stand there before him, my pride bared, exhibited for all the world to see like his Jesus nailed to a cross. A smirk plays on those salty-sweet lips and he looks quite as if he’d love nothing better than to slam the door in my face. Welcome Home

straight from the heart.
No clichés, no overused lines.
To avoid sounding sappy, it won’t have any lyrics…
And to make it original, it won’t have any chords.
No notes will make it the only one of its kind,
and no instruments should make it definitely unique.
It will be an anti-song.
It won’t even exist.
And all because it’s impossible to put into words, notes and chords,
